Railway Architecture – Integration of Arts

The Wuquan Station in Taichung and the Museum of Fine Arts Station in Kaohsiung are not big in volume but hold a strong artistic atmosphere due to the near distance to the art museums. The design of Xincheng Station that echoes with the Taroko Gorge plus the public art inside the station makes it look like an art gallery. The exposed steel skeleton of the Yuanlin Station shows the image of "Forest;" the density of public art in the station is extremely high and the polka-dotted high heel shoe designed by Yayoi Kusama added a lively and romantic atmosphere to the station.

As public buildings, the railway stations made the city more beautiful.
